Fish Tales

This time of the year Eric loves to go ice fishing. Heidi and Amy have gone with Eric ice fishing before and have loved it. So this year Eric went out with some buddies first to scope it out and find the best place to take the girls again this year. He did pretty well his first time out. The only condition that Eric has is that the girls hold a fish before they go. Heidi is now at the age where she gets freaky about things. Well, those fish were freaky!! But, Heidi and Amy really wanted to go, so they held a fish. Can you see it on their faces how much they LOVED holding those fish. It just makes me laugh. But, I am grateful they do it, because I truly do not want girly girl daughters. So every little bit helps!! What was funny was Alex, he did not want those fish near him. Look at his face, priceless. Alex did not like this fish this day, but just wait..........

Kelly did NOT like these fish. That was as close as she got and she was not happy about it. I love this picture because of how upset she was.

Finally the day came and Heidi and Amy went ice fishing with Dad. It is so awesome to see them want to do this. Eric loves it too. It is some special time he can spend with his girls.

Amy is in the ice sled. She was ready to go. She didn't last too long.

Here they are eating lunch. It made them happy. McDonalds has a way of doing that. Unfortunately, no fish were caught this day. DARN!!!



Eric went out one more time before he left to work again. He didn't have much luck, but did land one good sized fish. This time around Alex LOVED it. He was obsessed with it!! He had to walk all over the house with the fish. He just kept saying "Fis" and making fishing noises. Well, I think that Eric will have a nice fishing buddy when he gets old enough. Oh, just wait for the last picture I saved. That is how much he loved the fish.........

Where's Alex???

Where do you look when you can't find Alex? Well, we have found that the first place you should look is the empty shelf in the cupboard in the island in the kitchen should be the first place, not the last place you look. Just so you know.
